Hi there,

Sadly no, I was meant to be going to Brighton but I was examining in Eire and had to go earlier than I expected. I will hopefully see the tour at some point. I understand Gary is in Russia soon...amazing.

Hope you all have enjoyed the gigs.

That's a pity Neil. A lot of us think these are the best shows he has done in years - I hope you get to see him play soon!

Best wishes,
Zara

Hey Neil,

Excuse my novel but im an excited we pup :-)

I stumbled across this site after trying to find some info on Gary....why has no-one ever written a decent biography about his life? I've been a fan for many years but recently realised that i know next to zilch about his life LOL....sure some things are best left private (im in a band so know the deal hah !)

Anyway i started from the beginning of your thread here til the very end and was very pleased to read your comments, especially seeing that you are a Queen fan too that made my day/evening...you're obviously a man of fine taste there.

Now about you feeling too old to rock......forget that notion man, Brian May just turned 60 the other day and hes still up for another album (with Paul Rodgers) and tour next year....i for one am salivating at the thought.

Kudos to you for all your efforts in the past, tis funny really coz the GM albums ive heard with you on them are some of my favourite albums of alltime, i like the fact that your keyboards complimented things and didnt dominate them.

I always found it rather funny how all the british rock bands have linked up like a family tree (Cozy and Eric Singer both having played with Gary and then later with Brian May)..

Tis nice to read your comments from the perspective of having LIVED it, although im sure you can appreciate that all the fans lived it too in our own ways :-)

cheers from New Zealand
Richard
ps tell Gary if he wants to play a solo on our new album then theres a track waiting :-) (we're doing a tribute to Phil Lynott thats been in the works for a fair old while.....tis about time we brought it to the boil).

Hi Neil!
I´m a musician too, I´m writing songs and record them. And whenever we try to play it with the band we say:
"It doesn´t work, we need a Neil Carter!"
I liked your performance with Gary very much. Unfortunately I saw you only on Video, I was seven years old when you did the Wild Frontier tour...
Greetings from Germany,
Sebastian

Hi again Neil, how is everything? Are there any musical surprises for us in 2008? Also, I've always wondered, is there any chance of a release of the stuff you did with Paul Chapman and Andy Parker after the UFO breakup? All the best to you, Neil.

OMG! I live......!

Sorry folks, been neglecting y'all but things have been very busy and I have been away etc etc.

I am still here, and working on some new ideas to spruce up the site. I was thinking along the lines of some 'rock memories' which could be of interest to some and a bore to others!! I keep getting these odd recollections of things that went on 'back then'.....some even printable. So watch this space!

I saw his G'ness last week and understand he is in Germany so fly the flag and go see!

Best wishes and all that

N

Hi Neil!
Welcome back! Good to hear from you again!

Come to Germany and go see Gary yourself ! Maybe you could jump up for a jam
You wouldn't probably have the problem with the rare amount of tickets which are left for the German shows now

Waiting for good news from you and checking your site frequently.

Neil, hope all is well with you. I have been over the years writing much more than playing my guitar, but I have written often of the incredible music you made with Gary in those past years and the nucleus of his success is born on your shoulders, I feel. The superb musicianship and writing abilities you possess, make those years for me, the most meaningful..
I am excited as I have decided to create my own website where I can compile all the Internet forum writing I have done over the years, ect.
A very important part of the construction of this will be my focusing on the GM years of your career, but not only as you have had a varied and very full musical journey, so I would like to hopefully conduct an interview with you at some time in the future.
To me the period when you played with Gary is his most productive and interesting material and playing wise.
I would like to speak via email if I could mine is
davidtalkin@yahoo.com
We have spoken here in the past, but I could send you some samples of my writing, ect.
Here are some scans of the '85 tour programme, to bring back some memories,

Hope to hear from you soon Neil
All the best mate and again thanks for all the incredible music you have played and written, it means a lot to me still to this day!

the strong will survive.
Some of us will fall,
some of us won't get out of here alive.

Blood of emeralds.
